About my fandoms: My primary fandom is Harry Potter. This is my home, and the one in which I play the most. However, I am also into Stargate: Atlantis because, well, I adore Rodney McKay and most recently emo bandslash because my roommate is evil and has sucked me into the pretteh crack that is MCR, P!ATD, and FOB. I blame the eyeliner.

I also dabble around the perimeters of Entourage, Dexter, and Dr Who, although I mostly just lurk there right now. I'm also quite possibly the only Adrien Brody/Daniel Vosovic shipper in existence, but really those two are too hot not to slash. You know?

About my favourite characters: I love Snape. Not in the usual fangirly type way, mind. The only thing I like about Alan Rickman as Snape is the voice. Other than that he's not my Snape. I like my Snape tall and snarky and hateful and bitter and plain and hook-nosed. He has greasy hair and drinks scotch (Macallan, please) and would hex the bloody fuck out of you if you dared to call him Sev. He's a bastard shit, but he's not evil--and yes, I am a Snape apologist.

I also adore Draco. I love his brattiness, his selfishness, his sullenness, his immaturity, his snideness, his arrogance, his prejudice, his vulnerability, his fashion sense. (Shut up, I don't care if that's fanon or not--he's a Malfoy damn it; of course he's got style. God knows someone in these books needs to...) I love the uncertainty he shows at times and the mask of bravado that he attempts to hide behind. I love my Draco the way I love my Snape: filled with faults and vices and utter contempt for anyone either of them deem unworthy, but with the hope of redemption. Snape and Draco...they're the story of grace personified to me.

I'm also an absolute nut about Rodney McKay, for many of the same reasons I love Snape and Draco. He's a vicious, snarky bastard with a huge attitude problem, no social skills to speak of, and the ability to piss off even the most laidback individual. But he's smart, and he's witty, and he's willing to put himself on the line when he needs to. I respect him, and he makes me laugh and I love him, for his faults and foibles and not in spite of them.

My favourite characters tend to have similar traits. Give me your poor, your tired, your cranky misanthropic bastards. :D
