Random notes on an overcast Sunday
- I've finished the first cut of a Harry/Draco vid. Now I'm just letting it rest for bit. Those boys make me ridiculously happy.
- Along with my recent, ongoing Viktor addiction, I'm discovering I have a slight craving for next gen cross-gen. Given my obsession with both Snape/Draco and Snape/Harry, this does not surprise me in the least. Cross-gen FTW! \0/ So, yeah, anyone have any author/fic recs for me? What I really, really want is a long, plotty, achy, angsty, emotionally complicated fic where Harry's sleeping with both Scorpius and Draco. But not together. You know. Just concurrent affairs. Because that would be kind of awesome. (I also want a fic where Snape's sleeping with Lucius and Draco concurrently. Yes, I have issues, I realise. Still. Either one really would be awesome. You know it would.) Anyway, I'll take any and all next-gen recs anyone has...
- I watched PoA this weekend while clipping for my vid, and I just have to say it reminded me of how much I absolutely love and adore Draco Malfoy. He is my favourite, I'll admit, not in spite of his flaws but because of them. I love that he's a complete, immature prick. He's just so complex and interesting to me and it annoys me to no end how two-dimensional Jo wrote him, how she tried to force him into this black/white morality when Draco is made of millions upon millions of shades of grey, just like humans actually are. There's an awful lot about Draco I sympathize with, especially his struggle with what he was raised to believe. Somewhere inside of me there's a meta post about why I love Draco Malfoy. I'm just lazy about writing it.
- Speaking of laziness, I should be writing or plotting fic. Instead I'm feeling ridiculously lethargic and sleepy and, thus, terribly guilty about both. Well, actually I want to write. Just everything that's on my list to write is a minimum of 10,000 words or more and I'm in the mood to toss off a quick one-shot.

ella_bane is soliciting short, schoolage Harry/Draco fics. Hm. I wonder if it's possible for me to write a 3-5,000 word Hogwarts fic tonight? *ponders* I really, really miss our weekly hpshortfics writing nights from a couple of years ago. :( Sometimes I think about reviving them, but I don't know if anyone would be interested... - It keeps thundering but not raining. Stop taunting me, rainclouds. I'd love a spectacularly, gothicly, stormy evening.
